Walk route: Mirehouse, The Old Sawmill Tea Room - Dodd, Skiddaw - Long Doors - White Stones - Carl Side - Carlside Tarn - Skiddaw - Broad End - Cockup - Melbecks - Peter House Farm

Distance: 6.50 miles

Ascent: 3,150ft

Time: 3 hours 15 minutes

With: David Hall

Conditions: It is all a question of timing... A morning walk in the worst weather of the week, windy with showers. On the summit we were in cloud, it was blowing a gale and hailing - very painful. This afternoon it is still windy but dry and sunny with the Skiddaw summit cloud free!
