August 2004 - The Pyrenees - Part of the GR10

GR10 The Grande Randonnee (GR) 10 runs the length of the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and is nearly 540 miles long and takes about 2 months to walk from end to end. We walked part of the spectacular central section on a two week trek with Exodus covering 137.25 miles and 38,400ft ascent in 13 days.

Day 1 - A short, 'warm-up', walk near Gourette

Day 2 - Gourette to Arrens-Marsous

Day 3 - Arrens-Marsous to Refuge d'Ilheou

Day 4 - Refuge d'Ilheou to Refuge des Oulettes de Gaube

Day 5 - Refuge des Oulettes de Gaube to Gavarnie

Day 6 - Rest day, a short walk to view the Cirque de Gavarnie and la Grande Cascade

Day 7 - Gavarnie to St Bazerque

Day 8 - St Bazerque to Bareges

Day 9 - Bareges to Lac d'Aubert

Day 10 - Lac d'Aubert to Vielle Aure

Day 11 - Vielle Aure to Loudenvielle

Day 12 - Loudenvielle to Granges d'Astau

Day 13 - Granges d'Astau to Superbagneres (Bagneres-de-Luchon)
